Supplier Development Engineer

Mission

As a Supplier Development Engineer, you ensure product and process compliance of suppliers with IBA quality standards and engineering specifications. You support and guide suppliers to meet technical and quality requirements, monitor their performance, and drive continuous improvement.
You will collaborate with the Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Innovation & Development, and Quality, Regulatory & Safety departments.

Challenges we trust you with

•    Participate in design reviews and propose solutions based on supplier capabilities and validation requirements.
•    Co-build purchasing strategies with Sourcing & Procurement.
•    Perform technical assessments of new or existing suppliers.
•    Visit and assess supplier infrastructure.
•    Support tender preparation and supplier audits.
•    Ensure supplier processes produce compliant goods in a stable, reproducible way.
•    Provide technical support during component manufacturing.
•    Handle supplier concession requests.
•    Monitor supplier performance and conduct QA audits.
•    Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
•    Prepare and enforce quality agreements.
•    Stay informed of evolving standards and new technologies.

What we value


You have:

•    Master’s degree in engineering (physics, electromechanics, or mechanics) or equivalent experience.
•    3 to 5 years of experience in supplier quality/development; audit experience is a plus.
•    Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485).
•    Proficiency in Microsoft tools; SAP knowledge is a plus.

•    Hands-on, proactive, and creative in problem-solving.
•    Assertive with strong interpersonal skills.
•    A team player with excellent communication skills in English and French.
•    Willing to travel up to 20% (mainly in Europe).
