Join our Systems Engineering department, comprised of brilliant and passionate engineers, as an Engineering Team Lead for Requirements & Testing. In this role, you'll lead a team of 10 engineers in the design and development of world-leading solutions for proton beam technologies and safety systems, as well as other medical diagnostic and sterilization applications utilizing ionizing radiation.

Your responsibilities will include providing operational leadership, managing interfaces with business stakeholders, and ensuring the effective management of system requirements, safety, reliability, and verification to deliver products of the highest customer value. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with the highly regulated environment of medical applications.

Challenges we trust you with

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing operational direction and ensuring project needs are met:
  • Oversee budgeting and planning exercises in coordination with the R&V team lead and program and project management.
  • Organize and prioritize team workload, monitoring project progress and adapting to changes to maintain quality and timelines.
  • Manage HR matters for the team, including recruitment, career management, feedback, and evaluation.
  • Provide frame, guidance and expertise to team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality work and Drive continuous improvement in system engineering methods and tools, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • A degree in Science or Engineering, with a multidisciplinary background spanning SW engineering, electrical engineering, control systems, physics, and robotics.
  • Previous experience as a team manager / team leader is a strong plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in systems engineering disciplines, preferably with complex, large-scale, critical systems.
  • Experience in engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and regulatory authorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Proton Therapy aims to destroy cancer cells by delivering proton beams to a target tumor.
