Procurement Officer

Mission

 

As a Procurement Officer, you are responsible for the planning and administration of all procurement activities. You will report to the Procurement Manager.

Challenges we trust you with

 

  • You will be based in Louvain-la-Neuve and you will work with several services within the Manufacturing & Supply Chain department (MSC department)
  • Ensure the procurement administration and follow-up : Assign Purchase Requests, create Purchase Orders, follow up orders confirmation and deliveries, follows up payment process and maintain procurement database
  • Manage supplier’s day to day contacts and manage claims against suppliers for unsatisfactory materials or equipment ; participate in the evaluation of suppliers
  • Ensure the administration of invoice dispute management and Purchase Order regularization in SAP
  • Coordinate procurement activities with internal customers (planning, manufacturing, customer service, R&D (Research and Development), ...)
  • Ensure procurement is realized according to internal customers demand (Planning, Manufacturing, Business Units, …)
  • Ensure Supplier Delivery Performance through KPI’s follow-up (OTD, Average Delay, Max Delay) and implement recovery plan while needed.
  • Maintain inventory at planned level

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent by experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Driven and result-oriented individual, able to organize your work autonomously
  • Flexible and stress resistant person with effective organizing and problem-solving skills
  • Good Knowledge of MS Office (Excel) and SAP
  • Good communication skills in French and English (written and spoken)
