Health and Safety Expert

Mission

As a Health and Safety Expert, you will provide leadership and guidance for H&S program and compliance, supporting planned expansion or modifications of facilities or production processes, and developing behavior based safety programs.

You will support IBA Industrial and Radio Pharma Solutions Business units as well as the Engineering & Supply Chain department to maintain Health and Safety compliance.

Challenges we trust you with

• Develop and implement strategies within the business to foster a strong Health and Safety culture.
• Conduct EHS inspections and assist in risk assessments.
• Participate in design review and integration of safety standards from a product point of view.
• Be responsible for the development and distribution of routine Health and Safety Key Performance Indicators.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to safety, health, and environmental programs.
• Measure and monitor safety indicators to assess the health of the department's safety practices.
• Conduct on-site communications, including site tours and overseeing production teams to ensure safety.
• Develop training content and communication tools for increased awareness and practical approach. 
• Communicate effectively and assist in investigating accidents, root cause analyses.
• Work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.

What we value

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar environment (manufacturing machinery).
• A complete training as a Prevention Advisor (level 1 or 2)
• Knowledge of Health and Safety principles and industry best practices           
• Fluency in French is mandatory - English is a plus.
• Experience in health and safety, particularly electrical safety and working at heights, is an asset.
• Experience in risk analysis.
• Excellent communicator both orally and writing
• Able to deliver classroom training
• A team player, able to negotiate and influence
• Able to create awareness and compliance environment
