OIS/TPS Systems Engineer & IT Administrator

Mission

Our new site in Cairo will be equipped with 1 S2C2 Cyclotron and 1 treatment room:

  • PBS dedicated nozzle
  • PPS Robot table LEONI
  • adaPT Prescribe, Deliver & Insight
  • Cone Beam CT,
  • Universal Beam Triggering Interface (UBTI)
  • Philips Ambient Experience
  • Remote Treatment Positioning and Delivery (RPD)
  • OIS: Mosaiq suite
  • TPS: Raysearch

The installation will start in September 2023 and first room is planned to be delivered within 12 months after the start of the installation.

As OIS IT Administrator & Systems Engineer, you are responsible for installation, configuration and commissioning activities on the OIS and TPS systems in the Proton Therapy site, with a specific focus on administration of the IT infrastructure, software testing, debugging, configuration and upgrades.

As an OIS IT Administrator & Systems Engineer, you are responsible for:

During the installation phase

  • Participating in the installation of the OIS equipment for the Proton Therapy site with a specific focus on the deployment of the IT infrastructure and software..
  • Performing the IT infrastructure and the software configuration following procedures
  • Testing and validating the equipment according to the specifications and ensuring the customer requirements are met in terms of compliance, quality, technical performance and timing
  • Critically analyzing data to diagnose potential technical problems
  • Collaborating intensively during the installation and commissioning phase with the flying software and system administration team and subcontractors to supervise the installation until the start-up of the equipment
  • Ensuring the highest quality of state-of-the-art technologies and services

What we value

You have:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in engineering (preferably in Computer Sciences or Electronics) or an equivalent experience
  • A sound technical experience in IT hardware troubleshooting
  • A relevant technical experience in electrical system troubleshooting, mechanical system design and repair and operations of large systems
  • An experience with Subversion software repositories and configuration management

 

  • Experience in administration of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
  • A basic knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with virtualization system such as VMare and/or ProxmoX
  • Strong network skills such as handling routing, switching and firewall management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Able to follow rules & regulations and you are able to deliver on strict deadlines
  • Analytical, good troubleshooting skills, able to identify root cause of issues
  • Willing to share your knowledge in your area of expertise
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Willing to travel extensively during the training period (+/- 4 months)
  • A flexible person, willing to work in rotating shift work, night work and weekends
