We are looking for a dedicated Paralegal - Corporate Affairs & Insurance to join our dynamic legal team of eight professionals. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a collaborative environment that bridges key departments, such as legal and finance, while engaging with external partners, including law firms, notaries, and financial authorities.
In this multifaceted role that offers both responsibility and exposure, you’ll oversee corporate law administrative activities, and act as a key contact for both internal and external stakeholders, and manage IBA’s insurance portfolio. You’ll play a critical part in ensuring compliance, supporting organizational efficiency, and driving excellence across our legal and insurance functions. With frequent interactions across teams and direct involvement in strategic projects, this position promises variety, growth, and the chance to make an impactful contribution.
Challenges we trust you with
The Paralegal - Corporate Affairs & Insurance is the central point of contact for managing IBA’s insurance portfolio and providing corporate law administrative support.
Role:
The role includes three major responsibilities:
- Corporate housekeeping : managing the organization of shareholder meetings and following up on board of directors and board committee meetings; coordinating the annual report drafting; implementing and following up on regulatory requirements of a stocklisting ; liasing with financial and other regulatory authorities and lawfirms and notaries; editing transparency notices and organizing dividend payment implementation.
- Insurance management: negotiating and managing insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage for all aspects of the business ; handling of insurance claims and liaising with insurance broker; maintaining up to date records on insurance policies and claims; ensuring compliance with insurance regulations and standards.
- Contract database management : acting as system administrator of all aspects of the contract database and contract management platform.
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for managing the template library and assit internal clients with simple form contracts such as NDA’s.
What we value
Minimum requirements:
• At minimum bachelor’s in law, (but master’s in law preferred)
• Excellent knowledge of Belgian corporate law
• Proficiency in French and English
• Affinity with IT tools

The ideal candidate has :
1 to 2 years first working experience in a legal department of a (stock-listed) company and is familiar with the corporate law activities of the company’s governing bodies in a Belgian regulatory environment. Experience in a law firm or notary public office with focus on company law, insurance administration, and contract database management is equally welcome.
