We’re looking for talented technical professionals to join our teams on permanent contracts.
You’ll be grouped into a team and commit to the installation of at least two proton therapy units at different locations.
These centers are based in Santiago de Compostela, San Sebastian, Barcelona, Seville, Malaga, Madrid (La Paz and Fuenlabrada), Valencia, and Gran Canaria.

Mission
You play a key role in our mission to treat patients and fight cancer!
As Hardware Service Engineer, you are responsible for installation, calibration and commissioning activities on the Proton Therapy Centre, with a specific focus on the electromechanical equipment.
As part of the Ortega project, you will be responsible for potentially 2 or 3 installations in a row.
A training period is planned before the launch of the first installation. The first installation, based in Fuenlabrada is expected to be completed within 12 months with a start planned on December 2025. The start date may be adjusted if necessary.
Our HR team will support you in your relocation to your second location.
Challenges we trust you with
As Hardware Installation Engineer, you are responsible for:
- Participating in the installation of the IBA equipment on the Proton Therapy site with a broad exposure across all electro-mechanical sub-systems (cyclotron, gantry, power supply cabinets, electrical wiring, patient positioning equipment, etc...)
- Testing, calibrating and validating the equipment according to the specifications and ensuring the customer requirements are met in terms of compliance, quality, technical performance and timing
- Critically analyzing data to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Collaborating intensively during installation and commissioning phase with subcontractors to supervise the installation until the start-up of equipment
- Ensuring the highest quality of state-of-the-art technologies and services
What we value
You have:
- Qualifications in electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- A sound experience in electrical cabling & systems troubleshooting and mechanical systems installation
- Technical knowledge of cooling systems, vacuum systems, electronic control units, drivers, sensors, electric motors, high and low voltage equipment
- The ability to troubleshoot complex systems
- The ability to work autonomously on well-defined tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish is an asset.
- Knowledge of local EHS regulations

- Able to follow procedures and able to deliver on strict deadlines
- Conscientious and organized, able to provide good quality reporting
- Analytical, with good troubleshooting skills, able to identify root cause of issues
- Willing to share your knowledge in your area of expertise
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Willing to travel extensively during the training period
- A flexible person, willing to work in rotating shift work, night work and weekends (up to 50% of your time)
